My Life as a Short Story
"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Nelson Mandela
I'm Darlene Hilario Busa. A simple Island girl from Semirara Island. I have a life far from just this picture perfect photo. Failures and struggles may come my way but that doesn't hinder me from pushing forward and aiming for my desires in life.
This journey is not about reaching the finish line, it's about the journey itself. It's about the lessons I've learned, the connections I forget, the obstacles I overcome. It's about becoming the best version of myself, not just for myself, but for the world around me.
Embracing Life and Positivity
Hello everyone, I'm Almar Alentajan Alera, a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. I'm from Luna Sibalom, Antique, and I'm 21 years old. I love exploring new places, meeting different people, and learning about different cultures. I like trying new foods and experiencing different activities. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I'm always up for an adventure. The quote that I like is "live life to the fullest and focus on the positive." I believe that this quote encapsulates a truly fulfilling approach to life. It's a reminder to embrace every opportunity and find joy in the journey. I've experienced a lot of things in my life, and as I grow older, I realize that nothing is permanent in this world. This realization has made me appreciate the present moment even more and cherish the relationships and experiences that bring me happiness. I realize that life is a precious gift, and I want to make the most of every opportunity.
From Hating Heights to Loving Lengths
I'm Denzel Marie Diores, I used to hate being tall. As a little girl, I felt like a giant among my peers, my long limbs and towering stature making me feel awkward and out of place. I longed to be smaller, to blend in with the crowd, to avoid the stares and the whispers of "she's so tall." I dreamed of shrinking, of being just like everyone else.
But as I grew older, something shifted. The whispers faded, replaced by a newfound confidence. I started to see my height as a strength, a way to stand out, to command attention. I realized that being tall wasn't something to be ashamed of, it was something to be celebrated.
I embraced my long legs, my graceful stride, and the way I could see the world from a different perspective. Now, I stand tall, not just physically, but emotionally, too. I'm proud of my height, and I'm ready to use it to reach for my dreams, to stand tall against any challenge that comes my way.
