Doreen Hope G. Tordesillas: Embracing Challenges and Celebrating Victories

Hi, I'm Doreen Hope G. Tordesillas, a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. I enjoy spending time alone with the people with whom I'm comfortable. In my free time, I enjoy spending it horticulture and playing with my fur babies.

The quote that I love is "The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory." - Eugene Wright. It is a powerful quote that no matter what challenges and struggles you face in achieving a goal, it makes the eventual success more rewarding, and it highlights the idea that the journey and the hardships encountered along the way contribute a lot to success.

Jaycer Dubria Jr: My Journey Through Travel and Tourism

The world is calling. It whispers in the rustling leaves of a foreign forest, echoes in the laughter of a bustling marketplace, and sings in the crashing waves of a distant shore.  For me, that call is a siren song, beckoning me to explore, to connect, and to share the magic of travel. And that's why I'm a tourism student, a journey I'm excited to share with you.

My passion for travel started young.  I was that kid who devoured travel magazines, dreamed of far-off lands, and convinced my family to take road trips across the country.  As I grew older, my wanderlust only intensified. I backpacked through here in Philippine, volunteered in a remote village in Aklan and learned to surf in Boracay. Each experience, however different, solidified my love for exploration and the transformative power of travel.

But it wasn't just the sights and sounds that captivated me. It was the people, the cultures, the stories. I realized that travel wasn't just about ticking off destinations; it was about connecting with the world, understanding different perspectives, and fostering meaningful connections.

This passion led me to pursue a degree in Tourism Management.  I knew that I wanted to be more than just a traveler; I wanted to be part of the industry, to help others experience the world in a meaningful way.

My studies have opened my eyes to the vast and complex nature of tourism.  I've learned about the economic impact of travel, the importance of sustainable practices, and the delicate balance between cultural preservation and tourism development.  I've been challenged to think critically about the industry's impact and to consider how we can create a more responsible and ethical approach to travel.

This journey hasn't been without its challenges.  Balancing coursework with internships and extracurricular activities requires dedication and time management skills.  There have been moments of doubt and frustration, but my passion for travel and the desire to make a positive contribution to the industry keep me going.

As I progress through my studies, I'm excited to explore the diverse career paths available within the tourism sector.  I'm eager to learn more about destination management, event planning, hospitality, and sustainable tourism initiatives.

My goal is to use my knowledge and experience to create unforgettable travel experiences for others, while also contributing to the preservation of the places and cultures I love.  The world is a vast and beautiful place, and I'm determined to share its magic with others, one adventure at a time.

This is my story, a journey that's just beginning.  And I can't wait to see where it leads.

My Life as a Short Story

"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Nelson Mandela I'm Darlene Hilario Busa. A simple Island girl from Semirara Island. I have a life far from just this picture perfect photo. Failures and struggles may come my way but that doesn't hinder me from pushing forward and aiming for my desires in life. This journey is not about reaching the finish line, it's about the journey itself. It's about the lessons I've learned, the connections I forget, the obstacles I overcome. It's about becoming the best version of myself, not just for myself, but for the world around me.

Embracing Life and Positivity

Hello everyone, I'm Almar Alentajan Alera, a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. I'm from Luna Sibalom, Antique, and I'm 21 years old. I love exploring new places, meeting different people, and learning about different cultures. I like trying new foods and experiencing different activities. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I'm always up for an adventure. The quote that I like is "live life to the fullest and focus on the positive." I believe that this quote encapsulates a truly fulfilling approach to life. It's a reminder to embrace every opportunity and find joy in the journey. I've experienced a lot of things in my life, and as I grow older, I realize that nothing is permanent in this world. This realization has made me appreciate the present moment even more and cherish the relationships and experiences that bring me happiness. I realize that life is a precious gift, and I want to make the most of every opportunity.

From Hating Heights to Loving Lengths

I'm Denzel Marie Diores, I used to hate being tall. As a little girl, I felt like a giant among my peers, my long limbs and towering stature making me feel awkward and out of place. I longed to be smaller, to blend in with the crowd, to avoid the stares and the whispers of "she's so tall." I dreamed of shrinking, of being just like everyone else. But as I grew older, something shifted. The whispers faded, replaced by a newfound confidence. I started to see my height as a strength, a way to stand out, to command attention. I realized that being tall wasn't something to be ashamed of, it was something to be celebrated.
I embraced my long legs, my graceful stride, and the way I could see the world from a different perspective. Now, I stand tall, not just physically, but emotionally, too. I'm proud of my height, and I'm ready to use it to reach for my dreams, to stand tall against any challenge that comes my way.

After graduating with honors in senior high, I embarked on a career in Tourism Management, driven by a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others. My journey was not without its challenges. I faced discrimination, prejudice, and countless setbacks. But I refused to be deterred. I drew strength from my own experiences, my unwavering belief in the inherent goodness of humanity, and the unwavering support from my loved ones.
My life story is a powerful reminder that even in the face of adversity, the human spirit can prevail. My journey inspires us to embrace challenges, to fight for what we believe in, and to leave a positive mark on the world.

Sherlyn Tumaliuan: Unwavering Determination for her Dreams

Growing up in a family where money was tight, and life revolved around working as market vendors taught Sherlyn a valuable lesson about resilience and aspiration.

Her journey unfolded in several steps, each one marked by the challenges and hopes that shaped her ambition.

The first step in her childhood was the environment she grew up in. Sherlyn's family relied on selling goods in the market, which meant long hours of hard work and little financial comfort.

Despite of the struggles, she learned the importance of perseverance. Watching her parents work diligently to provide for them instilled a strong work ethic in her.

She admired their determination and began to understand that hard work could lead to better opportunities.

As she tried to balance school with helping her family in the market, she discovered that she had a natural ability to connect with people.

While selling alongside her parent, she learned to engage with customers, understand their needs, and create a friendly atmosphere.

This experience made Sherlyn realize that interpersonal skills were just as valuable as academic achievements.
This dream provided an escape from the daily grind and motivated her to interact with a diverse group of people and develop her social skills further.

Each experience reinforced her desire to serve and made her dream feel more tangible.
As she grew older, she understood that her path might not be conventional, but Sherlyn was determined to pursue her dream.

She's willing to put in the effort, knowing that every step, no matter how small, brought her closer to her aspiration. She sees how each of these steps—fueled by resilience, social skills, and a strong sense of purpose—shaped her dream of becoming a flight attendant.

Despite the challenges of her background, she held into her dream tightly, believing that with hard work and determination, she could someday turn it into reality.

My Journey of Passion and Dreams

At 21, I, Kissy Joy Macatigos, am more than just a name; I'm a story of passions and dreams waiting to be fulfilled. Growing up with a love for anime, movies, and games has given me a unique perspective on life, fueled by the rich narratives and characters that these forms of entertainment provide.

As an ISTP personality type, I thrive on spontaneity and action, always ready to dive into new experiences, even if those experiences are yet to come. Inspired deeply by my parents and family, I carry their values and wisdom with me as I navigate through life.

With a dream to travel around the world, I envision myself exploring new cultures, meeting new people, and creating unforgettable memories.

My favorite quote from the anime One Piece serves as a constant reminder of my aspirations: "A dream is never forgotten."

Though my journey is still unfolding, I stand as a testament to the beauty of having passions and dreams. My story is just beginning, and the world awaits the adventures I will embark upon.
